Halloween

Halloween was so fun this year!! This was the first Halloween that Jeth and I were both in our own place for. It was so fun. We bought some Halloween decorations since we didn't have any. One of which was a skull that will spit out mist. The eyes also change colors. It's really fun!! When we set it up, we turned off all the lights to get the maximum affect. Jordon and I were looking at it from the back and Jeth was looking at it from the front. Jeth came around the table to take a look at it from the back and "accidentally" tripped on the cord. The skull pivoted around and stared at Jordon and I. Jordon screamed and took off to the kitchen. I tried, but there was a wall in the way. Jeth was on the floor laughing as hard as he could. Meanwhile he's asking for forgiveness. Call me crazy, but I don't think he was really sorry.
Halloween night we watched scary movies, of course. We bought a butt load of candy expecting lots of trick-or-treaters. We had them twice. The first one was about 5, 30-year old Mexicans. I was really tempted to slam the door in their face and tell them they should be ashamed of themselves. The second, and last one, was a cute little 4-year old little boy. He was so cute!!! Needless to say, we have lots and lots and lots of candy left over. As a side note, I HATE trunk or treat. No one knocks on the door anymore because they do the trunk or treat. It makes me sad. . . But in the end, Halloween was so much fun.

  1. Yeah but trunk or treat is probably safer... you had 30 year olds walking around!

  2. Lol. Yes, I did. But as long as you're with your kids, they should be safe. It's not like a trunk or treat is really that much safer. If someone is determined to kidnap your child, what better place than a parking lot full of cars, other adults, and screaming kids loaded on sugar? It really comes down to just basic parental supervision. But of course our society doesn't believe in that anymore.

  3. Yeah, Halloween is just not the same as when we were kids. I realize the "safe factor" of trunk-or-treating, but lets face it, kids young enough to go trunk-or-treat are going to have their parents with them, so they would still be safe trick-or-treating with their parents, right? We don't even buy candy anymore since no one ever comes to the door. I think you shold have sent those old men away, HELLO, it's a kids thing!
